Hungarian labour market trends outstanding even from a European perspective

According to the flash report of the Hungarian Central Statistical Office published last week, the total number of those in employment continued to increase in comparison to the corresponding period of 2012. In the period April-June 2013, the number of those in employment aged 15-74 years was up by 55 thousand, to 3 million 931 thousand, compared to the same period of the previous year which corresponds to an increase of 1.4 percent over the past year.

International Autism Congress to be held in Budapest

Hungary successfully tendered to organise the triennial International Autism Congress this September in Budapest, where organisers expect more than a thousand participants from over 70 countries, Minister of State for Social and Family Affairs Miklós Soltész announced on Wednesday. He pointed out that recently two tenders were announced, one for the maintenance of institutions working with autistic people, offering 90 million forints, and another one aiming to facilitate the access with 800 million forints available.

Beekeepers to Receive More Funding

"The second phase of the Hungarian National Beekeeping National Programme launched two years ago is expected to be completed successfully and the third phase, effective until 2016, may achieve even greater success. An extra 670 thousand euros - some 200 million forints - in extra funding are available each year from European Union and domestic sources for the realisation of the Programme", announced Deputy Head of Department of the Ministry of Rural Development Sándor Tantó at the launch of the new National Beekeeping Programme.

Ministry to launch HUF 870 m tender for solar collector developments at public institutions

The Ministry of National Development calls for tenders to install solar energy systems in buildings managed by residential public institutions as of 5 August 2013. The support may cover up to 100 percent of eligible historical costs. Financed from quota revenues, the total tender amount is HUF 867.2 million.
