"Let us light a flame in our hearts against darkness, evil and exclusion", expressed Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in his letter to the Jewish Community on the occasion of Hanukkah. The contents of the letter are published below.
My Dear Jewish Compatriots!
It is with respect that I greet you all on the festival of Hanukkah! As in the days to come you remember your victory over foreign power, the cleansing of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem and the oil that burned for eight long days, so do the candles that light up one by one remind us all of the wonder of solidarity; of the fact that we can light a flame in our hearts against darkness, evil and exclusion.
