Hungary can only remain a talented nation if it pays attention to its talents, Deputy Prime Minister Tibor Navracsics stated at the opening of the TALENTn Conference in Budapest.
Mr. Navracsics, the event's chief patron, highlighted that although the Hungarian education system is good at bringing up young talents, it lacks the focus and recognition necessary to further assist them on their path. He called it important that in this program mentors are helping the talented students on their way, adding that he himself is also a mentor to one of the participants.
The TALENTn program aims to provide mentoring to 50 young talents and one of the goals of the Conference is to find answers to the question of to what extent the education of talented students may be applied to combat social inequalities and facilitate social inclusion.
