Parliamentary State Secretary Németh met with Director of the Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies

Parliamentary State Secretary Zsolt Németh received the Director of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies in his office, on 4 December.

During the meeting, the State Secretary reinforced the Government’s commitment to fight anti-Semitism, informed Mr. Shapiro about the significance and main events of the Wallenberg Year and presented him with a book on the life of Count János Eszterházy.

Mr. Shapiro suggested the establishment of a historical committee to process the history of the Holocaust in Hungary, the stronger promotion of the Hungarian Holocaust Memorial Center’s activities, and emphasized the significance of clear statements made against political comments outside the framework of morality and democracy.
