The Government of Hungary is shocked at the news of the terrorist attack carried out on 29 September 2013 by extremists in Nigeria, claiming the lives of many students and children, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
Hungary regards all forms of terrorism as unacceptable and strongly condemns all such acts. Hungary expresses its sympathies to the families of the victims and supports the Nigerian government in its fight against extremist forces, the statement issued on 30 September reads.
On Sunday, suspected Islamist militants attacked a college in north-eastern Nigeria, setting fire to classrooms and shooting dead at least 40 students.
