Minister of State for Church and Minority Affairs György Hölvényi met with Chief Rabbi Zsolt Markovics in Szeged. At their meeting, the Minister of State condemned the recent atrocity against the Jewish community in the South-Hungarian city.
He emphasised that the upcoming Holocaust Memorial Year will also be a good instrument for decreasing the number of such derogatory incidents. The Holocaust is our nation’s tragedy, since the Jewish community has become part of the nation through our shared history, he added.
