Minister of Foreign Affairs János Martonyi met NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) Philip Breedlove on September 12, 2013. The two officials reviewed the most important affairs currently facing NATO.
Breedlove, who is in Hungary for a NATO Military Committee staff meeting, expressed great appreciation for Hungary’s participation in NATO missions and the country’s contribution to the alliance’s joint efforts. The sides were in agreement that drawing chemical weapons in Syria under international control is the only way to prevent future attacks.
